Our Japan History reports provide crucial transparency about your vehicle's past before it was imported to New Zealand. With approximately 1.3 million cars exported from Japan annually, the risks are significant: over 600,000 vehicles have accident damage, 30% have odometer discrepancies, 21,000 are reported stolen, and 1,400 fail radioactive contamination tests. Don't buy a Japanese import without knowing its history.

This report will contain the following information where available:

• Accident History
Get a comprehensive overview of the vehicle's accident history, including collisions, airbag deployments, thefts, fire damage, water/flood damage, hail damage, and other natural disasters. This critical information helps you avoid costly hidden problems that could affect safety and value.
• Odometer History
Verify the mileage with comprehensive odometer history, including wind backs and excessive usage patterns. With 30% of Japanese imports having mileage discrepancies, this verification is essential for making an informed purchase decision. However, be aware that odometer records may be limited, especially for older vehicles.
• Radioactive Contamination Status
Essential safety information about contamination risks, including whether the vehicle has been used in contaminated regions or failed radioactive contamination tests. This protects you and your family from potential health hazards.
• Previous Vehicle Use
Discover if your vehicle was previously used as a taxi, police car, rental, or other commercial purposes. This information affects the vehicle's condition, maintenance history, and resale value.
• Recalls
Our report also includes details of any recalls the vehicle may have had, along with the reason for the recall — for example, the Takata airbag recall.
• Average Market Price and Safety Ratings
We also provide auction data to indicate the average market price of the vehicle in Japan and safety ratings where available.

Establish trust and transparency in your vehicle purchase. Our impartial, accurate reports provide real-time data to help you avoid costly mistakes and make confident buying decisions.
