    NZ Fleet

    Query New Zealand vehicle fleet data. This data is sourced from NZTA's New Zealand Vehicle Fleet Open Data sets and provides point-in-time snapshots of all vehicles currently registered in New Zealand.

    API Endpoint URL

    <site>/a/nzfleet_manager:fleet

    Request GET Parameters

    • q — Vehicle model search string (fulltext search)
    • make — Filter by vehicle make (e.g., "Toyota", "Ford")
    • year — Vehicle year of manufacture. Use -1 to return any year. Default: 0.
    • motive_power — Filter by motive power/fuel type. Use any to return any fuel type.
    • registration_year — Filter by year of first NZ registration. Use -1 for any year. Default: 0.
    • registration_month — Filter by month of first NZ registration (1-12). Use -1 for any month. Default: 0.
    • limit — Maximum number of records to return (1-100). Default: 100.
    • offset — Number of records to skip for pagination. Default: 0.

    Available Parameter Values

    Use the params endpoint to get the list of available makes, years, motive powers, and registration periods:

    Response

    The default response format is JSON. For XML add f=xml to the request.

    Results are ordered by count in descending order (most popular first).
